To say we had a load of fun today is an understatement.

We often go walking and frequently visit the park, but today, we did something just a little bit different and it changed our entire day.

On today's walk, we decided to see how many different types of leaves we could find. We armed ourselves with two buckets and set off.

When we got home and went through our forage, we discovered there were so many different types of leaves we could barely count them all (we're learning to count past 20 at the moment ;) ).

Once we were done counting, we pulled out some string and our $2 mini pegs and got to pegging.

It was great watching the kids practice their hand-eye co-ordination skills. It was even better watching them have so much fun with all the leaves.

Once the leaves were pegged on the string, we got some copper wall decal stars and hung the nature garlands up above the shelf.

And when all three strings were hung, we spent the rest of the morning admiring our masterpiece and counting the leaves over and over.

Big thanks goes out to our friend Letitita who gave us the inspo for the project.
